WHAT IS A UTWT DISCOVERY RACE? A Discovery Race of the Ultra-Trail® World Tour is a trail running race of more than 100k, inviting runners from all over the world to discover new destinations. An invitation to travel with a new experience in exceptional areas. In the heart of China or at the North of the Arctic Circle, the Ultra-Trail® World Tour brings you where you never thought you would go to run. UTWT Discovery races are not part of the competition - runners participating to these races do not get points for the Rankings.

NUTS YLLAS PALLAS in Finland

The NUTS Ylläs Pallas trail race runs through extremely beautiful Ylläs-Pallas National Park with the cleanest air of continental Europe. In the heart of Finland, this race offers a experience of life time in one of the last true wildernesses of Europe. There is even a chance to meet reindeer and other arctic wildlife along the trail. 134k runners will experience this magical trail adventure through extremely beautiful arctic Lapland with the never setting midnight sun.

ULTRA-TRAIL NINGHAI in China

The 5th edition of Ultra-Trail Ninghai® (UTNH) will take place Oct 14-15th 2017 in Ninghai County, Zhejiang province, which is located in Eastern China.

102km with cumulative elevation gain of 5.260 m+ goes through Zhejiang Grand Canyon. The race covers beautiful scenery in southern part of Yangtze River, bamboo forest, lake, primordial forest, and rural back road. It aims to challenge your inner spirit and physical state, but also to provide you with an unforgettable and unique mountain experience of Eastern china.

RESULTS OF 100 MILES OF ISTRIA IN CROATIA

On April 7th 2017, 1200 runners participated to 100 Miles of Istria Ultratrail, fourth race of Ultra-Trail® World Tour.

In the Croatian sun, the runners had to intensify their efforts to finish the 171 kilometers of the race. With a five-star finish line, close to the sea, Dylan BOWMAN (USA) and Francesca CANEPA (ITA) won far ahead of their competitors.

RESULTS OF PATAGONIA RUN IN ARGENTINA

For the 5th race of the season, Ultra-Trail® World Tour went towards Argentina for Patagonia Run. The new UTWT race kept its promises and Argentines have dominated the sports event.

Sergio Jesus TRECAMAN (ARG) remains the king of Patagonia Run for the fifth time and Adriana Vanesa VARGAS is the new queen of the race.
