The ring will be run in a clockwise direction, passing first through the Italian valleys and then through the Swiss valleys. You will need head, heart, legs and adequate preparation to tackle the 168 kilometres (positive altitude difference of 13,130 metres) of mule tracks, paths, rocky sections, via ferrata and glaciers. The average altitude is 2,400 metres, with eight hills above 2,800 metres and four above 3,000 metres. The race will also touch the charming centre of Zermatt, from there the last long climb towards Plateau Rosà and Teodulo from where the final descent towards the finish line in Breuil-Cervinia will begin.

The event has already received the patronage of the Municipality of Valtournenche and is organised by Csain of Valle d'Aosta and Cervino Sport Events. Registration for the first edition of the Cervino Matterhorn Ultra Race will open on 6 December 2021. On Friday 15 July 2022 the start will take place at 10 a.m., on Saturday 16 the winners will arrive, on Sunday the last arrivals and the prize-giving ceremony.

The Cervino Mattherhorn Ultrarace (@cmurofficial) Facebook and Instagram social channels are also open and constantly updated with all the initiatives promoted and organised by the sports association.
