This is the sixth edition of an internationally established event, which has been selling out since 2022. The 7th edition of the Costa Brava Stage Run will take place from 25 to 27 April 2025.
If in 2024 the Costa Brava Stage Run already achieved a record number of participants, reaching 290 between the two organised distances, in 2025 it is expected to reach 300 participants and maintain the 75% of international runners that characterises this event that runs along the beautiful paths of the Costa Brava for three days. The event, organised by the company BiFree Sports with the support of Tuga Active Wear and the Costa Brava-Pirineu Tourist Board, will open registrations next Thursday 25 July at 9am.
The race offers two distances, the CBSR80K and the CBSR120K. The first stage is a joint 22km race between Blanes and Tossa de Mar; in the second and third stages there are two routes, one of 30 and one of 50km. The second stage runs along the central Costa Brava, between Platja d'Aro and L'Estartit, passing through the Illes Medes and Baix Ter Natural Park, the short stage will start in Calella de Palafrugell. The third stage runs along the north coast, between Roses and Colera, passing through Cadaqués (start of the short stage) and the Cap de Creus Natural Park.
The objective of BiFree Sports, the organisers of the race, is clear: for runners to get to know the Costa Brava and live an experience that they can always remember. To achieve this, they offer an experience where “everything is included” (food-stations, recovery massage, professional photographs, luggage transport…), so that participants only have to worry about running and enjoying the journey. Registration for the “Full Experience” also includes accommodation and dinners in hotels during the race, and bus transport to the start of the stages.
More than a competition, the Costa Brava Stage Run is an experience of coexistence and friendship, where sporting values are intertwined with the natural beauty of the region. For more information on all the services included and registration, you can consult the website https://cbsr.run.
BiFree Sports are also the organizers of the Pyrenees Stage Run (https://psr.run), 7 stages in the Pyrenees from September 1 to 7, and the Brama Stage Run (https://brama.run), 3 stages, which will celebrate its 2nd edition from October 18 to 20 in Ribes de Freser.
