The starting gun fires this morning for the Costa Brava Stage Run (CBSR), the long-awaited multi-stage trail running adventure that will take 300 runners along the Girona coastline over the next three days. The race, which connects Blanes with the north of the Costa Brava via the legendary Camí de Ronda, begins this edition with a resounding success: for the fourth year in a row, all available spots were sold out months in advance.
Running stage races…
This Sunday, April 27th, marked the end of the 7th edition of the Costa Brava Stage Run, a three-day adventure with two race formats (CBSR120K and CBSR80K), covering the Costa Brava from south to north, from Blanes to Colera. The event featured 300 participants from 25 different nationalities, 44% of whom were women and 80% international.
With 300 runners from 25 different countries, the CBSR stands out for its strong international presence: 80% of participants come from outside Spain.
From April 25 to 27, 2025, the 7th edition of the Costa Brava Stage Run (CBSR) will take place — a multi-day trail-running race that covers the Costa Brava from south to north over three stages. As in previous years, the event sold out more than five months in advance, confirming its status as a must-attend race on the international trail-running calendar.
This is the sixth edition of an internationally established event, which has been selling out since 2022. The 7th edition of the Costa Brava Stage Run will take place from 25 to 27 April 2025.
If in 2024 the Costa Brava Stage Run already achieved a record number of participants, reaching 290 between the two organised distances, in 2025 it is expected to reach 300 participants and maintain the 75% of international runners that characterises this event that runs along the beautiful paths of the Costa Brava for three days. The event, organised by the company BiFree Sports with the support of Tuga Active Wear and the Costa Brava-Pirineu Tourist Board, will open registrations next Thursday 25 July at 9am.
