Άλλη μια σπουδαία διεθνής εμφάνιση χτες από τον Αλέξανδρο Καρύκα, ο οποίος ανέβηκε στο τρίτο σκαλί του βάθρου στον αγώνα των 110Κ (+4.100m) στο Istria100 by UTMB, στην Κροατία. Η επίδοση του ήταν 10:37:38. Τον αγώνα κέρδισε ο Σλοβάκος Patrik Milata με χρόνο 09:27:19 και δεύτερος τερμάτισε ο Ιταλός Gionato Gogliati με επίδοση 09:49:44. Νικήτρια στις γυναίκες ήταν η Φινλανδή Anna-Stiina Erkkila με χρόνο 11:05:40.

 

UMAG, Croatia, BARCELONA, Spain– This weekend, over 2,560 trail runners will take to the Istrian peninsula of Croatia to race in the 11th edition of Istria 100 by UTMB. Among them will be over 50 elite runners who will be looking to secure their spot to the UTMB World Series Finals in Mont-Blanc.

 

In just over two weeks, a host of international trail runners will descend on Croatia for Europe’s first UTMB World Series race of the season, Istria 100 by UTMB®.  Amongst them, will be American trail royalty, Jim Walmsley, who will be racing the 100miler distance (168.6km/6590m+), in hope that this will be his getaway to the UTMB World Series Finals in August. Wearing bib number one, Walmsley will be joined by other UTMB Mont-Blanc hopefuls, including Frenchmen Noël Yannick and Arthur Joyeux-Bouillon, who both have a UTMB index of 847 and 848 respectively.
