Eiger Ultra Trail by UTMB

The Eiger Ultra Trail was launched in 2013 and has been part of the Ultra Trail World Tour since 2015 and is now part of the UTMB World Series from 2022. Around 4,000 participants from over 80 nations compete on different routes in seven categories. The supreme distance - E101 with 101 kilometres and over 6700 metres of altitude – crosses Grosse Scheidegg, Faulhorn 2680m, Schynige Platte, Wengen, Männlichen, Kleine Scheidegg, the myth of the Eiger North Face, as well as the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Jungfrau-Aletsch, and demands maximum performance from the athletes and rewards them with an incomparable mountain experience. The current course record is 10:44 hours. A total of six distances are on offer. The team distance E250, which circles the UNESCO Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch area with 250 kilometres and 18,000 metres of altitude, is considered a very special mountain adventure. Grindelwald has now developed into a popular trail running destination with trails signposted all year round, training camps, maps and special hotel offers and thus provides the best training conditions for the Eiger Ultra Trail.
