Yes, it's really hard to describe Spartathlon. To fully grasp its meaning, history, culture and toughness  you have to experience it firsthand. But I'll try my best. Here's my account of the Spartathlon 2014. As a quick note, one week before the race, Advendure published an English interview with me as I was the first Turkish runner to attempt the race in Spartathlon's 32 year history.
