A bold decision, made a few years ago over a bottle of Chianti wine, led to the creation of an event that, since last year, has become part of the “by UTMB” race series. The Chianti Ultra Trail by UTMB is not just a race through the unmatched natural beauty of Tuscany, but also an exciting cultural journey through medieval villages, history, tradition, and the exceptional flavors of the region's wines. Advendure embraced the event from its first edition in 2018 and has followed its quality growth with great joy. As the Chianti Ultra Trail has evolved, it has brought not only trail running but also outdoor sports to the heart of a region dedicated to wine and gastronomic and cultural tourism, welcoming an increasing number of athletes from around the world each year, including many Greeks.The soul of the event and our dear friend, Matteo Matteuzzi, talks to us about all of this and, of course, about this year's edition, which will take place from March 20th to 23rd, based in Radda in Chianti.
