This Saturday, September 5th, the final stage between Esterri d'Àneu and Salardú took place, wrapping up an edition highlighted by great weather, the successful new vertical stage, and 10th-anniversary celebrations.

The Pyrenees Stage Run (PSR) officially came to a close today as runners crossed the final finish line in Salardú, completing the eighth and final stage from Esterri d'Àneu. The event wraps up this evening with an outstanding balance across all areas, consolidating a decade of trail running excellence in the Pyrenees.

The mountain stage race kicks off today between Ribes de Freser and Núria under ideal weather conditions to mark a decade of trail running.

Salardú (Val d’Aran), September 7th, 2025 – The Pyrenees Stage Run (PSR) came to an end yesterday after seven stages and over 200km across the Pyrenees. The participating teams crossed the finish line in Salardú in a great celebration filled with excitement, camaraderie, and the satisfaction of completing an incredible adventure. This edition, marked by international diversity with runners from 22 nationalities and a strong female presence (35% of participants), has once again proved that the race is much more than a competition: it is a shared experience of mountains and friendship.

Ribes de Freser, August 26, 2025 – The Pyrenees Stage Run (PSR) is ready to kick off a new edition. From August 31 to September 6, 140 runners from around the world will cross the Catalan Pyrenees in a stage race that combines sport, nature and camaraderie.

The race will officially start on Sunday, August 31 in Ribes de Freser, following the participants’ pre-race meeting with the organization and volunteers on Saturday 30. Over seven stages, 220km and 15000m of uphill, runners will cross five natural parks, including the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley in Andorra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, before finishing in Salardú (Val d’Aran) on September 6.

Since 2023, the Pyrenees Stage Run has always closed registrations, but last Wednesday, November 27, registrations for the “Full Experience” category (with accommodation included) sold out less than two hours after going on sale. The Costa Brava Stage Run also closed registrations at the beginning of November with all 300 race numbers sold out.
